Financial Data You Enter
To provide our tip tracking and bills management features, we store:
- Daily tip amounts (cash and card)
- Hours worked (optional)
- Bill names, amounts, and due dates
Wellness Data (Premium Users)
If you use our premium habits feature, we store:
- Water intake
- Step count
- Stretching activity
- Meal descriptions (breakfast, lunch, dinner)
Payment Information
Premium subscriptions are processed through Apple In-App Purchase. We do not store your credit card number, CVV, or full card details on our servers. Apple handles all payment processing securely. We store only your subscription status to manage access to premium features.
Device Information
If you enable push notifications, we store your device's push notification token solely for the purpose of sending you notification reminders.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and maintain the App's features
- Authenticate your account and keep it secure
- Display your financial summaries and dashboard data
- Send push notifications (tip reminders and bill due alerts) if you opt in
- Process premium subscription payments through Apple In-App Purchase
- Improve the App based on usage patterns
Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely in a PostgreSQL database hosted on trusted cloud infrastructure. We implement the following security measures:
- Passwords are hashed using bcrypt encryption
- Sessions are managed server-side with secure, HTTP-only cookies
- All data transmission uses HTTPS encryption
- Payment processing is handled by Apple through In-App Purchase
Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We share your data only with:
- Apple -- for payment processing of premium subscriptions via In-App Purchase
- Expo Push Notification Service -- to deliver push notifications (only your push token and notification content)
We may disclose your information if required by law or to protect our rights, safety, or the safety of others.

- Cancel your premium subscription at any time
Children's Privacy
Clocked In is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete that information promptly.
Push Notifications
The App may send push notifications for:
- Daily tip logging reminders (5:00 PM)
- Bill due date alerts (9:00 AM on the due day)
You can disable push notifications at any time through your device's notification settings.
Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services:
- Apple (Privacy Policy) -- In-App Purchase payment processing
- RevenueCat (Privacy Policy) -- subscription management
- Expo (Privacy Policy) -- push notifications and app delivery
